What Sets the GT Series Apart

Built from the ground up for demanding professionals, the GT series combines advanced motor technology, long-range capability, and hybrid-ready flexibility.

Brushless Direct Current Motors

The GT series uses intelligent BLDC motors instead of conventional servo or ultrasonic motors. BLDC motors deliver smooth, ultra-silent operation with significantly less mechanical wear. The GT-1500 achieves 200 degrees per second turning speed for faster two-face measurements and hybrid search. The GT-700 reaches 120 degrees per second.

+

Hybrid Positioning Ready

Combine your GT series total station with a Topcon GNSS receiver to create a Hybrid Positioning system. Seamlessly switch between robotic and GNSS measurement without changing software or workflows. When you lose line of sight or need to work under tree cover, GNSS takes over. When you need sub-millimeter precision, the total station handles it.

RC-5A Remote Re-Acquisition

On busy jobsites, obstacles frequently break the prism lock between the instrument and operator. The optional RC-5A remote control emits a fan-shaped laser beam that the total station detects and relocks to in seconds with a single tap in your field software. With 300-meter re-acquisition range, 600-meter LongLink communication, IP65 rating, and 40-hour battery life, the RC-5A keeps you moving.

UltraTrac Prism Tracking

UltraTrac combines optical sensing with high-speed BLDC motor control to maintain prism lock even in tough jobsite conditions. The GT-1500 tracks out to 1,000 meters and the GT-700 to 800 meters. Whether working at distance or up close, the instrument stays locked on so you can focus on layout rather than fighting the equipment.

Long-Range Reflectorless EDM

Measure to surfaces without a prism at distances up to 1,000 meters on the GT-1500 or 800 meters on the GT-700. Reflectorless measurement is ideal for as-built verification of hard-to-reach surfaces, facade documentation, and measuring to points where placing a prism is impractical or unsafe.

LongLink Bluetooth Reliability

Every GT series model features Topcon’s LongLink Bluetooth technology, delivering stable communication between the instrument and controller at distances up to 600 meters. Designed for active jobsites, it maintains a reliable connection with fewer dropouts so you can stay productive without interruptions.

Hear from professionals who have made the switch to robotic layout with Site Precision.

Mario and Brian are extremely knowledgeable about their products. Their customer service is the best of people I deal with. I won’t deal with anyone else when it comes to our laser/total station needs.

Jeff Swihart

Owner, Cook Foundation & Flatwork Inc.

Christian was great to work with. The machine couldn’t be easier to use and understand. We have been through 3 total stations of a different brand before trying this out. Those previous units can’t come close to comparing to the quality and ease of use. We can get twice as much done with the Topcon model.
Randy Rich

Vice President, RICH Plumbing, Heating, and Cooling

Mario is very knowledgeable and helpful. You can always call Brian anytime for answers on your total station.
Jason McKinley

Owner, McKinley Masonry and Concrete LLC

Christian was a great teacher and extraordinarily accommodating. Made learning about the Topcon system easy and smooth.
Jeremy Kammer

Lead Engineer, Parker-Arntz Plumbing & Heating
