Topcon LN-1000i 3D Layout Navigator

Camera-Guided Layout with Reflectorless & Green Laser
The Topcon LN-1000i is the next-generation Layout Navigator, adding an integrated camera, reflectorless measurement, and a bright green laser pointer to the proven one-person, self-leveling workflow. Purpose-built for MEP, interiors, and foundations, the LN-1000i expands where and how your crew can lay out points, without the complexity of a full total station.
- 5MP integrated camera for camera-guided targeting.
- Measures with a prism to 130m or reflectorless to 50m.
- Bright green laser pointer (520 nm) for superior visibility.
- Expanded vertical range up to +90° (zenith capable).
- One-button self-leveling, IP65-rated, single-operator workflow.
Tech Data Sheets
The Topcon LN-1000i 3D Layout Navigator is the most advanced Layout Navigator Topcon has ever built. Engineered specifically for MEP, interiors, and foundation work, the LN-1000i carries forward the one-person, self-leveling simplicity that made earlier LN-series models a jobsite favorite, then layers on a new generation of capabilities that fundamentally expand what a layout navigator can do.

For the first time in the Layout Navigator line, the LN-1000i supports both prism and reflectorless measurement. Measure with a prism out to 130 meters or go reflectorless up to 50 meters for fast point capture at walls, corners, and structural edges where placing a prism is impractical. The integrated 5-megapixel camera adds camera-guided targeting with up to 8x digital zoom, giving crews a visual confirmation of the measurement point before capturing it.
The high-visibility green laser pointer (520 nm, Class 2) replaces the red laser pointers of earlier models, keeping the target point clearly visible in bright outdoor conditions, dim interiors, and the transitional lighting common on active job sites. The expanded vertical measurement range of +90° to -32° reaches straight overhead to the zenith, so the LN-1000i handles ceiling-mounted layout, overhead MEP work, and elevated structural points that earlier Layout Navigators could not reach.
Like its predecessors, the LN-1000i is built for everyday jobsite abuse. The IP65-rated, dual-axis self-leveling housing sets up in seconds, runs approximately four hours on a single BDC72 Li-ion battery, and communicates over Wi-Fi 802.11 n/b/g and Bluetooth 5.0 BLE. At 4.7 kg with battery installed, it is light enough to move easily between setups and rugged enough to stay productive through a full construction day.
Key Features
- Integrated 5MP Camera: Camera-guided targeting with up to 8x digital zoom and a 12.8° x 9.6° field of view for visual point confirmation.
- Dual Measurement Modes: Measure with a prism out to 130 m (426 ft) or reflectorless up to 50 m (164 ft) on surfaces. The first Layout Navigator to support both.
- Bright Green Laser Pointer: 520 nm Class 2 laser pointer for high visibility in bright outdoor and dim interior environments, with a 5 x 7 mm spot size at 20 m.
- Expanded Vertical Range: Vertical measurement from +90° to -32° reaches overhead layout points and ceiling-mounted MEP work that previous LN-series models could not cover.
- One-Button Self-Leveling: Dual-axis self-leveling within a ±3° range for fast, error-free setup on any jobsite.
- Single-Operator Workflow: Auto-tracking image sensor keeps the instrument locked on the prism so one person can run layout and verification tasks.
- Rugged IP65 Housing: Sealed against dust and water for reliable performance in active construction environments.
- Wi-Fi & Bluetooth 5.0: Wireless LAN (802.11 n/b/g) and Bluetooth 5.0 BLE for connection to field controllers and mobile devices.
- Long Working Day: Approximately 4 hours of working duration on a single BDC72 Li-ion battery, with external power support (6.7 to 12 V).

Why Upgrade to the LN-1000i?
The LN-1000i is a capability upgrade, not a range upgrade. Prism working range stays at 130 meters, matching the LN-160. What changes is what the LN-1000i can do with that range: add camera-guided targeting, measure without a prism up to 50 meters, reach overhead points to +90°, and keep the laser pointer visible in conditions where a red laser would disappear. If your crew is hitting the limits of prism-only layout, struggling with laser visibility, or turning away jobs that require overhead or corner points, the LN-1000i is the Layout Navigator built for those problems.
